RC Laser Racing Rules

* Boats do not have to use the same size sails.  Sail selection is a decision of the skipper.  A boat may change sails between races.
* Opposite tacks - a port tack boat shall keep clear of a starboard tack boat.
* Same tack, overlapped - a windward boat shall keep clear of a leeward boat.
* Same tack, not overlapped - a boat clear astern shall keep clear of a boat clear ahead.
* Approaching a mark - a boat with an inside overlap at four boat lengths from a mark shall be given room to pass around the mark.
* A boat may clear an infraction by sailing clear of other boats and completing a 360 degree turn.
* There is no penaly for hitting a mark, so long as the boat passes on the correct side of the mark.
